How to Create an Ambigram with Three Names
The FlipScript ambigram generator allows you to create an ambigram from one name (which inverts to itself), or to create an ambigram from two names (with one name turning into the other name). However, what if you want to create an ambigram from three names?
It is possible, but it requires two separate designs to do it. Here are the steps involved:
Pick Your Best Pair
The first step is to use the ambigram generator to find out which two names create the best ambigram. For example, let's say that you had three children, and you wanted to create an ambigram from their names: Jennifer, Mike and Chris. You would first try each combination of names until you found the combination that makes the best ambigram. Those two names will be placed in the top and bottom positions.
For this example, the Mike and Chris combination creates the best ambigram.
End in the Middle
Next, take whatever name that was not used in your initial pairing and make a symmetric ambigram that inverts that name to itself. Creating a FlipScript ambigram of a word or name to itself is almost always possible. For this example, we want a Jennifer to Jennifer ambigram.
Put it All Together
Once you have both ambigrams, duplicate the first ambigram (which here says 'Mike') and flip it over (so it would now say 'Chris'):
Then position the ambigrams vertically so they fit together in an attractive way. Here is the finished ambigram that says the names of all three of your hypothetical children "Mike, Jennifer, Chris" whether you read it upright or upside-down:
That is how you can use the FlipScript ambigram generator to create an ambigram from three different names.
